A kind policeman fed a hungry stray kitten at a car park in the Philippines.

The traffic cop was with a colleague outside a fast-food chain when he saw the tiny white moggy and gave some of his chicken lunch to it in Manila on April 20.

Wholesome footage shows the animal lover shredding the meat to bite-sized pieces so that the feline could eat them easily.

Onlooker Joey Habal said he was touched by the random act of kindness that he witnessed in the city.

He said: ‘I felt sorry for the kitten but I did not have extra money. A few moments later there was the police with the chicken which he gave to the cat.

‘I hope he becomes an inspiration to others and see him in the future so I could thank him for his kindness.'
