A blaze erupted within a waste collection vehicle depot in the industrial zone yesterday evening, prompting the intervention of the Porto Torres fire brigade at 9:30 p.m. The firefighting efforts were bolstered by two teams from Sassari, aiding in the arduous task of extinguishing the flames.

Despite their swift response, the combined efforts of the firefighting units could only contain the inferno to 11 out of approximately 30 vehicles housed within the facility. The intensity of the fire resulted in significant damage to the affected vehicles, exacerbating concerns over the incident's environmental and economic ramifications.
