This is the heartwarming moment a protective sister shielded her baby brother from their energetic pet monkey playing inside their house in Thailand.

Kao Hom was babysitting her infant brother Paetai with her friend when the lively pet monkey named Jennie suddenly came bounding into the room on Koh Pha Ngan in Surat Thani province on April 20.

Fearing the primate might accidentally hurt her brother, Kao Hom used her body to shield the 20-day old baby.

Jennie was seen leaving the house to play in the garden.

The siblings' father Chiwakasem Suksai said: 'Jennie is our pet monkey which we adopted after we found it abandoned by its mother. It is small and very friendly with people. My daughter was just being careful because her brother is still very vulnerable.'
