Police car strikes fleeing hit-and-run suspect at checkpoint

Recently, at the Tongguan checkpoint in Shaanxi, northern China, a police car deliberately knocked down a person. It is understood that the checkpoint is located on the G310 highway at the border between Shaanxi and Henan provinces. The video shows a person in black standing by the roadside as a police car rushes towards another individual. The person tries to run backward but is knocked down, while two uniformed individuals stand nearby.

On the evening of May 1st, the Tongguan County Public Security Bureau responded to the incident, stating that it occurred the day before and involved local police apprehending a hit-and-run suspect. The individual had been driving a vehicle in Linwei District, Weinan City, hitting five cars and injuring three people before fleeing to the Tongguan checkpoint. Local police had sealed off the relevant roads to apprehend the suspect. Currently, the man has been taken away by the Weinan Linwei police for investigation.
