Clearance work underway after heavy snowfall in northern India
Work to clear the NH1 of Leh Srinagar Highway in northern India's Jammu and Kashmir was underway after heavy snowfall at Zojila pass had blocked the path.
The incident took place at Zojila pass on the Srinagar-Leh national highway in Kashmir on May 1.
Visuals showed officials at work as they deployed the use of excavators to clear out the path. The whole area was covered with thick layers of snow and the excavator scraped it out and cleared the path. Officials were also seen inspecting the area.
Zojila Pass is the lifeline between the Kashmir Valley and Ladakh, and the closure of this pass puts the public of the region in a problem.
