Century-old stone slope in China bears deep grooves from playful children
A century-old stone slope bears deep grooves from playful children in eastern China.
The video was filmed in the city of Nanjing in Jiangsu Province on April 28.
Children have been delighting in using the stone slope next to the steps as a "slide". Especially notable are two deep imprints on the stone slope, sparking attention and discussion among visitors.
Some speculate that the grooves on the stone slabs must have been intentionally made by the scenic area to allow children to play.
In response, staff members of the scenic area explained that this "slide" has a history of over 100 years. People have been sliding here for generations, naturally polishing the stone over time.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
