The public bus system in the southern Chinese tech hub Shenzhen is trying-out different passenger perk programs - including a pre-order breakfast service.

For around one U.S. dollar, morning commuters can choose one of five breakfast combos that can include items like porridge, dumplings, or pastries.

Riders place their orders the night before, and when they board the bus the next morning, their meal is waiting for them.

So far, the service is available on seven bus routes. And no, eating your breakfast on the bus is not encouraged.
