Brazil: President Lula signs decree readjusting the Income Tax table in Sao Paulo
Sao Paulo, Brazil - May 1, 2024
The President of the Republic, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, sanctioned this Wednesday (1st) the decree readjusting the Income Tax table. The act took place during a union central event to celebrate Labor Day in Itaquera, in the east zone of Sao Paulo. The project changes the values of the monthly progressive income tax table and, with the measure, the exemption range was extended to those earning up to two minimum wages, equivalent to R$2,824.
