In a significant breakthrough, the Civil Guard has apprehended nine individuals associated with a criminal organization responsible for committing robberies in luxury homes in Finestrat, Alicante. The group employed extreme violence, brandishing replica firearms and utilizing incapacitating electric pistols and extendable batons, resulting in injuries to the victims.

The apprehension of the suspects culminated a meticulous investigation initiated in August of the previous year, following reports of a criminal organization operating in the Alicante province, targeting luxury residences in the Marina Baixa region. The group, hailing from Eastern Europe, had carried out a series of violent home invasions in Finestrat, inflicting serious injuries on the occupants.

The detainees, who resided in Alicante, Calpe, Finestrat, and La Nucia, led lavish lifestyles, with the ringleader, a 28-year-old Ukrainian national residing in Finestrat, enjoying a particularly opulent existence.

During the investigation, it was discovered that the organization had unlawfully detained and attempted to murder one of its members, accusing him of betrayal. Consequently, raids were conducted at various locations, resulting in the seizure of significant assets, including cash, luxury watches, jewelry, digital devices, and high-end vehicles.

The detainees face multiple charges, including robbery with violence, illegal possession of weapons, membership in a criminal organization, and attempted homicide, underscoring the gravity of their criminal activities.
