STORYLINE:

China exported over 1.32 million vehicles in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024, rising 33.2 percent year on year, industry data shows.

According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, some 307,000 new energy vehicles (NEV) were exported, up 23.8 percent year on year.

Consumers and experts in various countries have shared their views on why Chinese NEVs are gaining popularity overseas.
