This is the terrifying moment an enraged elephant launched a vicious attack on a safari jeep in India.

The aggressive bull blocked the convoy of tourists exploring the Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand and charged onto them.

Footage shows the jumbo kicking the front of the truck with men standing on its back and the other vehicles backing away from the commotion.

The elephant walked backwards as the others shouted but hit the truck once more with its trunk scaring the tourists to climb down.

After charging at them twice, the animal walked away while everyone on the truck had climbed down waiting for a chance to flee.

A woman said in the video: ‘Let's go. Stay quiet.'

While her friend said: ‘Had I been there I would be in teats.'

No one was hurt from the attack and the elephant returned to the jungle afterwards.
