This cafe in Thailand is decorated with an awesome Star Wars memorabilia collection.

Footage shows the hoard of collectable items, ranging from popular character head busts, such as Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Darth Maul, to figures of Clone troopers and jedis, at the Tan Ga Toy Cafe in Nonthaburi province.

Each item has its own spot behind glass shelves surrounding the shop's walls, including a bust of Bossk and Greedo, which was imported from the United States.

Cafe owner Poonsak Soponthirathana, 50, said he bought his first Star Wars piece from his first job salary.

He said: ‘My passion for the franchise began when I bought my first Star Wars memorabilia piece with my first job salary.

‘If you count even the smaller items, there would be a total of 3,000 or 4,000 pieces combined.'

The business owner started collecting 30 years ago and has amassed thousands of pieces, which he keeps in his cafe.

He said: 'My goal was to complete each collection, ensuring I acquired all items within specific sets, such as the Gachapon collections.'

However, Poonsak added the prices must be reasonable and would suit his collection before he buys them.

He said: ‘I bought the Boss and Greedo busts from another country. Their market prices have already exceeded more than 100,000 baht each.'

While he already had many pieces in his collection, Poonsak said each one held sentimental value for him.

He added: ‘One set took me more than ten years to complete, and there were only 15 pieces. That was very special for me.'

As their prices go up, Poonsak said he never considered the monetary value to make a profit and never intended to sell them.

He said: 'That's why I opened a cafe, to have the means to cover my expenses of maintaining my collection.

‘I named the cafe Tan Ga Toy which means eating with toys. Customers could enjoy their meals while enjoying the view of the collection around them.'

The cafe opens from 10 am to 8 pm from Thursday to Sunday.
