A car suffered a blowout, careening across lanes before flipping multiple times on a highway in eastern China.

The dramatic CCTV footage was filmed in the city of Gaomi in Shandong Province on May 2.

Motorists pulled over one after the other, lining up along the emergency lane before rushing to assist the three injured individuals from the wrecked vehicle and swiftly clearing the roadway of hazardous obstacles.

Thanks to their collective efforts, the three lanes to the left were soon flowing smoothly once again.

Yang Xing, the driver of the first vehicle to halt, recounted the harrowing scene: "The accident happened just about ten metres ahead of us. It looked pretty serious, so my friend and I immediately turned on our hazard lights and pulled over onto the emergency lane. Upon inspection, we saw that the windshield was shattered but still intact. We managed to pry it off, and soon others joined in. All three occupants were injured, but the driver was conscious."

Shortly thereafter, the Shandong Provincial Public Security Department's Traffic Police Brigade swiftly responded to the scene. Officers parked their vehicles in safe zones, lights flashing and sirens blaring, as they set up traffic cones behind the wrecked car and urged approaching vehicles to slow down and give way.

With traffic still heavy, necessitating the continued flow of vehicles in the rightmost lane, four more cars voluntarily pulled over to assist. With the concerted efforts of the compassionate bystanders and vigilant officers, the overturned vehicle was eventually righted and moved to the emergency lane.

The injured were swiftly transported away from the scene, while the assisting vehicles quietly departed, leaving the traffic in restored order.

According to authorities, due to the prompt response of the rescue efforts, all three occupants of the overturned vehicle are reported to be out of danger.

5月2日下午3时许，山东高密，G20青银高速青岛方向101公里处，一辆轿车突然爆胎在高速公路上跨车道连续翻转，最后侧翻在最右侧车道上。车内驾乘人员头破血流，大米、车零件等各种物品散落一地。此时正值假期出行高峰，后方车流量很大、车速很快，随时有发生二次事故的可能。
紧急关头，过路车辆一辆接着一辆停在应急车道上，车里过路人员纷纷下车，帮助车内三名人员转移到应急车道，路面上的散落物很快也被人们抬走，左侧三个车道迅速恢复畅通。
据第一个停车的车辆驾驶员杨行介绍，“当时这辆车发生事故时，就离我们十多米的样子。看着挺严重的，我和朋友就把双闪打开，把车停到应急车道。过去一看，风挡玻璃都碎了，但是没掉下来，我跟朋友一起拽下来，后来人陆陆续续都过来了，车里的三个人都受伤了，驾驶员清醒的。”
随后，山东省公安厅交警总队五支队高密大队也接到报警快速赶到了事故现场。执勤民警将警车停靠在安全区域，亮起警灯、响起警笛，一边在事故车车道后方设置锥桶，一边提醒后方车辆减速缓行注意避让。由于后方车流量较大，需要继续通畅右侧车道，又有4辆车主动靠边停下，众多好心人和执勤民警齐心协力，将侧翻车辆翻正，推到右侧应急车道。
随后120救护车赶到，将伤员带离现场，停车帮忙的车辆也默默离开，事故现场交通也恢复了正常秩序。
据交警部门透露，因为救援及时，侧翻车辆的三名伤者均无生命危险。
