Car drifting on beach strikes pedestrian in southern China
A speeding car careened onto a beach, striking a pedestrian in southern China.
Video filmed in Huizhou City in Guangdong Province on May 2 shows a car racing across the sands, weaving dangerously close to numerous beachgoers before ultimately colliding with a bystander.
Authorities from the local government revealed on May 4th that the beach where the incident occurred lacked proper regulation, being an unmanaged stretch of coastline.
Fortunately, the victim sustained minor injuries, and law enforcement has initiated an investigation into the matter.
In response to the incident, the government of Pinghai Town has launched comprehensive efforts to bolster the management of the area, implementing a ban on relevant vehicles accessing the beach.
