STORYLINE:

The four-day 2024 Offshore Technology Conference kicked off on Monday in Houston.

Themed "Leading the Global Energy Evolution" this year, it is one of the most important shows in the global oil and gas exploration, mining, production and environmental protection fields. 

It is not only a good opportunity for people inside the industry to share technology, products, industry information and practices, but also an international platform for enterprises to develop business partners and expand markets.

According to the 2024 OTC website, this year, more than 31,000 energy professionals from about 100 countries and regions around the world flock to the forum and exhibition,  with Chinese companies presenting a remarkable showcase.

According to the organizer, this year's exhibition area reaches 22,300 square meters, with more than 1,300 exhibitors from all over the world.

Entering the exhibition hall, the booths of Chinese companies are remarkably eye-catching.

Zhang Guanjun, Secretary-General of China Petroleum & Petrochemical Equipment Industry Association, said in an interview with Xinhua that China's equipment manufacturing industry has grown rapidly in the past 20 years, with both production capacity and technical levels constantly improving.

"China's petroleum equipment has developed rapidly in the past 20 years. Not only has the output increased, but most importantly, the technical level has also increased. Our association has brought along about 60 companies. There were others who came on their own, as well as those led by the three major oil companies. So there are about 200 companies from China. All are advanced equipment manufacturing companies, the world's top class."

The Offshore Technology Conference was founded in 1969 and is co-sponsored by 15 non-profit industry organizations and societies.
