Netherlands: Students Decry Utrecht University’s Actions Against Pro-Palestine Protests, Ties With Israel
Students gathered at the Dom Square in front of the Utrecht University Hall on Wednesday, May 8, to protest the university's actions against the pro-Palestine protesters the night before.
The university called on the police to clear the protesters on the courtyard of the city centre library. About 50 protesters were put in detention but were released without consequences later.
The students were also protesting the university's inaction against the pro-Palestinian activists' demands that Utrecht cut ties with Israeli universities.
