Thousands of people received the Estudiantes players this Monday, after they became champions of the League Cup this Sunday, defeating Velez on penalties. The crowd gathered in the emblematic Moreno Square. This is the second consecutive title for the La Plata team, since in 2023 it won the Argentine Cup.

The squad and the coaching staff traveled on Sunday by a private plane from Santiago del Estero to Buenos Aires and after reuniting with their families and loved ones, the champions celebrated the new title with the fans from the balcony of the Municipal Palace.

A crowd of fans gathered at the place and added color to the celebrations. Between songs, champion trophies, flags and some flares, the DJ's followers celebrated with the team led by Eduardo Dominguez.

The path to victory for Estudiantes was not easy. The victories in the last matches were decisive in securing qualification for the playoff. Especially the match against Boca Juniors that resumed after the suspension due to Javier Altamirano's health problem. In the semifinals, on April 30, they met again with the performance of goalkeeper Matias Mansilla.
