The Padang-Bukittinggi route has completely collapsed, collapsing in the Valley area
The road in the Anai Valley area collapsed after being hit by a flood of cold lava from Mount Marapi, causing the Padang-Bukittinggi connecting route to be completely cut off.
As a result, vehicles passing through the Anai Valley area cannot pass so they are diverted via alternative routes.
Apart from causing roads to collapse, the cold lava flood also caused serious damage to the bathing tourist attraction in the Anai Valley area.
Cold lava floods did not only occur in Padang Panjang City but also occurred in Tanah Datar Regency and Agam Regency. To date, the death toll has reached 15 people. The joint search and rescue team is still continuing to search for residents who are still declared missing.
