Santa Clarita Fatal Head-On Crash
05/11/2024 11:24 pm (GMT-0700) | SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Location: Sierra Highway and Sand Canyon Road in the Canyon Country neighborhood of Santa Clarita.
Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched to a traffic collision involving two vehicles. A white Toyota Corolla had major damage and one party was pronounced deceased on the passenger side. A black SUV was found on its side with major damage.
Los Angeles Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene to block off the intersection and waited for CHP to arrive to handle the incident.
Family members of those who were involved were crying and hugging.
Per CHP log 3392, one of the drivers seemed to be intoxicated and driving at high speeds prior to the collision. One party was transported by ambulance with moderate injuries
