A large billboard collapsed as a dust storm hit Mumbai on May 13 injuring several people.

At least seven people were hospitalised after the billboard fell onto a nearby petrol station in Ghatkopar.

Local officials said a thunderstorm accompanied by lighting and rain with winds of up to 50kmph will continue to batter the city.

Many people were trapped , local police and bmc rescued 47 people . Rains and gusty winds lashed parts of Mumbai and neighbouring districts on Monday, disrupting Metro and local train services.
The weather office has issued a "nowcast warning," predicting a thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and moderate to intense rainfall for Mumbai, as well as the neighboring districts of Thane and Palghar.

"Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and light to moderate spells of rain with gusty winds reaching 40-50 kmph is very likely to occur at isolated places in Mumbai in the next 3-4 hours," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
