Brazil: Aerial Footage Reveals Extent of Rio Grande do Sul Flood Crisis

A video released by the Military Brigade's Aviation Battalion, capturing aerial views of the flooded areas of the state capital, was shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Sunday, highlighting the widespread inundation still gripping the city.
On Friday (10), the Civil Police uncovered a storage facility in the northern zone of Porto Alegre containing stolen items from homes and businesses amidst the natural disasters plaguing the state. According to the Rio Grande do Sul Public Security Secretariat, the storage facility "was discovered through investigation by police officers operating in the region."
The latest update on the tragedy in Rio Grande do Sul caused by the severe rains that swept the state, released by the state Civil Defense in the early afternoon on Sunday (12), reveals 143 confirmed deaths and 131 people still missing.
