Footage shows the intense working routine of postal workers in China - with one claiming he had lost 10lbs in the first week.

In the video, the staff are seen hurling sackloads of parcels and packages alongside a row of people who are grabbing items at record speed and putting them onto a conveyor belt for further processing.

Some of the staff joked that it was a great way to keep fit.

One claimed that after starting staff at the sorting office in the province of Guangdong, in South China, he quickly lost up to 10 lbs in the first week alone.

One worker also described the express sorting facility as a challenging environment, comparing it to a 'training camp from hell' where weight loss is inevitable due to the demanding nature of the work.
