Family hires crane to lift woman to 7th-floor flat as walking was 'too stressful'
A family hired a crane to lift a woman to the 7th floor so she did not have to climb the stairs after having a baby by caesarean section.
The woman returned home on May 7 a day after having the operation at a state hospital in Hebei, China.
However, her home did not have a lift so her family was worried that climbing the stairs would affect her wound, they called a crane to 'lift' her to the property in Qinhuangda.
A friend of the woman, named Ms He, recorded a video saying that the woman was discharged from the hospital on Monday, May 6.
The woman's family lived on the seventh floor, but there was no lift in the building so they spent RMB 200 (GBP 26) to hire a crane.
On the day the woman returned home, she sat in the basket of the crane and it then lifted her to the balcony of their home.
The whole process went smoothly, according to local media reports.
Ms He said: 'I think the cost is not high, which is a good thing. Because it is very difficult for mothers to have babies, and it can save some effort to show that the family cares about her very much.'
