This is the dramatic moment a pickup truck was shunted from the third floor of a car park.

CCTV shows the silver vehicle losing control and accelerating into the black Toyota Hilux Vigo that was parked next to the edge in Bangkok, Thailand, on May 15.

Shocking video from the dashcam of a car outside the building shows the car smashing through the barrier and plunging to the ground.

It crashed onto the road just yards from a motorcycle rider who looked back over their shoulder in disbelief.

Miraculously, nobody was hurt in the incident.

Police are now probing investigating the driver, who claimed he panicked when he saw a queue of cars behind him. He then pushed the accelerator to try and speed up but lost control.

Onlooker Mongkol, who was on the street below, said: 'I was dropping off my daughter when I saw the car fall. It was very close to falling on top of people and killing them.'

Despite being one of the wealthiest countries in Asia, Thailand suffers from chronic underinvestment in its highways and education, contributing to its poor road safety levels. Only a handful of African countries are worse.

The country has one of the world's worst road safety records. Ministers have set the goal of reducing fatalities from 32.7 deaths per 100,000 people to 12 per 100,000 people by the year 2027.
