Mexico: Third heat wave arrives in Mexico
Mexico City, CDMX, Mexico - May 12, 2024
Mexico is preparing to face a new onslaught of extreme heat, according to the latest forecasts from the National Meteorological Service (SMN) and the National Water Commission (Conagua).
After the cessation of the second heat wave on 11 May, the imminent arrival of the third of five is announced, which is expected to peak at the end of this month, with maximum temperatures that could reach up to 48 °C in several regions of the country.
This heat wave, scheduled to break between 16 and 18 May, will not only bring with it a significant increase in temperatures, but also extreme weather conditions that could affect several Mexican states.
