On May 4th, in Leshan, southern China, a man was riding a motorbike on the road. Behind him, two elderly people with white hair were sitting in bamboo baskets without wearing helmets. As the motorbike moved, the two baskets trembled, and the elderly passengers swayed with the vehicle's movement. In the event of an emergency brake or collision, they were at risk of falling off the bike, posing a significant safety hazard, leaving bystanders deeply concerned.

Later, the video footage was reported to the Traffic Police Brigade of the Jianwei County Public Security Bureau. The police department identified the owner of the motorcycle, Mr. Wang, through the vehicle's license plate and notified him to come to the traffic police department for processing.

During the inquiry, the police learned that the man's name was Wang, aged 48, and he was a local resident of Jianwei County. The two elderly people sitting in the bamboo baskets were his parents. Usually, Wang would use his motorcycle to transport agricultural products to sell in the city. On that day, after Wang and his parents finished lunch in the county town, they planned to let his parents take the bus back to Wuyun Town. However, they missed the bus, so Wang found two small stools and let his parents sit in the bamboo baskets behind the motorcycle, preparing to ride back home.

The police strongly criticized Wang for his actions and fined him 150 yuan for violating traffic laws by carrying more passengers than allowed on the motorcycle and not wearing safety helmets. Additionally, one point was deducted from his driver's license.

The video was provided with permission from local media.
