Ordnance experts detonated unexploded WWII bombs found in Russia.

Footage shows specialists setting up the aviation bombs, a total of 78 found in a sand quarry in Novo-Kamenskoye village, before blowing them up in Kaliningrad.

The bombs were relics of the war and prompted specialists at the Neva Rescue Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry to go to the site.

The Neva Rescue Center, tracing its lineage back to a local anti-aircraft defence regiment established in 1936, swiftly evacuated and neutralized the bombs.

Since the onset of 2024, a total of 7,689 explosive devices, including 87 aviation bombs, have been safely removed for disposal in the Kaliningrad region.

Today, the centre's specialists are engaged in multifaceted operations, from neutralising explosive ordnance to participating in humanitarian convoys for cargo delivery. They operate unmanned aerial vehicles and robotics systems.
