A total of five buffalo were rescued after they fell into a dry well in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

Video filmed in the Shahpur area of Shahdol district on May 17, shows a group of rescuers pulling the ropes secured on a buffalo to lift it up from a dry well together.

The five buffaloes were rescued one by one and ran away as soon as they were freed.

The rescue operation was conducted by the Atal Kamdhenu Gausevak Sansthan and took place between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm.

Visuals showed the buffalos inside the dry well. One by one, the bovine is seen rescued from the well by ropes secured around it.

With precision and care, rescuers from the Atal Kamdhenu Gausevak Sansthan descended into the darkness, expertly maneuvering to secure ropes around the distressed animal. With a collective effort, the rescue team heaved, muscles straining against the weight as the cow was slowly lifted from her predicament.

The buffalo was later untied and it ran away as soon as it was freed. The rescue operation was conducted by the Atal Kamdhenu Gausevak Sansthan and it took place between 10:00 to 12:00 pm Indian Standard Time.
