A fierce battle against a raging wildfire is underway in Arizona as firefighters mobilize to contain the rapidly spreading blaze.

Dubbed the Wildcat Fire, the inferno ignited in the Tonto National Forest, east of Scottsdale, on Saturday, May 18th, prompting the closure of multiple roads in the vicinity.

Scottsdale Fire shared alarming footage of the conflagration on Sunday, highlighting the intensity of the situation. In a statement, they reported, "A wildfire, named the Wildcat Fire, sparked in the Tonto National Forest East of Scottsdale Saturday, leading to the closure of Bartlett Dam Road."

As the wildfire continues its rampage, it has already engulfed an estimated 5,000 acres of land, with no immediate signs of containment progress.
