A fisherman narrowly avoided being struck by a heavy metal sheet that was swept away by a powerful tornado in northern China.

Shocking video filmed in Jinzhou City in Liaoning Province on May 12, shows a tornado striking a fishing pond, lifting an around 50kg metal sheet and sending them flying dangerously close to a fisherman.

Mr. Dong, the fish pond owner, recounted his disbelief, initially puzzled by the appearance of the heavy metal sheet in the pond. Upon reviewing the surveillance footage, he discovered that the tornado had swept the heavy sheet into the air. The sheet was so heavy that a single person couldn't lift it. The fisherman, squinting against the strong winds, was oblivious to the metal sheet flying past him.

"It was unbelievable and extremely dangerous. If it had hit someone, it could have been fatal," Dong remarked, highlighting the sheer luck that no one was injured in the freak incident.
