An intelligent chimpanzee threw a dropped sandal back to a visitor at a wildlife park in eastern China.

The video was filmed in Weihai City in Shandong Province on May 13.

A visitor at Shendiao Mountain Wildlife Park accidentally dropped a sandal into the chimpanzee enclosure. The chimpanzee, upon noticing the sandal, began to run around and play with it.

The distressed visitor sought help from a zookeeper. After a brief interaction with the chimpanzee, the zookeeper appeared to communicate successfully, and astonishingly, the chimpanzee hurled the sandal back to the visitor.

According to the keeper, the 14-year-old chimpanzee named "Dong Dong" is very intelligent and has previously returned items to visitors.

据饲养员介绍，大猩猩名叫“东东”，14岁了，很聪明，这不是它第一次归还游客东西了。
