A quick-thinking policeman heroically rescued a boy who had fallen between a train and the platform at a station in eastern China.

The video was filmed at Shanghai Railway Station on May 13.

The train D10 was preparing for departure from Shanghai to Beijing South. As passengers were boarding, a child, driven by curiosity, wandered too close to the edge and accidentally slipped into the narrow gap.

Officer Shang Shijun, who was patrolling nearby, sprang into action. He sprinted to the scene in just 3 seconds, knelt down to assess the situation, and calmed the frightened child.

Demonstrating remarkable composure, Officer Shang advised the child to remove his backpack to facilitate a smoother rescue. Carefully, he reached down, gently lifting the boy back onto the platform within a minute.

Initial checks revealed that the child was unharmed and the train's schedule remained unaffected.

经过初步检查，幼童只是受到了一些惊吓，并无大碍，列车运行也没有受到影响。
