On the evening of May 19, 2024, hail and heavy rainfall struck Shijiazhuang, Hebei, China.

Video footage shows that the sudden extreme weather caused streets to flood, making it difficult for vehicles to navigate.

According to local reports, several roads in Shijiazhuang were severely flooded, trapping some vehicles. An interviewee mentioned that the hailstorm lasted for at least 20 minutes, with the largest hailstones being as big as eggs.
