On the afternoon of May 22, a landslide occurred on the 242 National Highway in Yan'an, northern China, specifically on the section near Puhe Village in the Jiaokou Town of Yanchang County. The landslide, which involved around 1,000 cubic meters of debris, resulted in damage to three cars and obstructed the road.

Two people were injured in the incident and have been taken to the hospital for treatment. One of the injured sustained minor injuries, while the other is in stable condition.

Preliminary assessments suggest that the high and steep slope with poor stability was the underlying cause of the landslide. Efforts are currently underway to secure the slope and ensure the safe passage of the road.
