Sudden Downpour in Hainan, China Turns Streets into Rivers
On May 17, 2024, a sudden and intense rainstorm struck Haikou, Hainan in southern China, quickly transforming the cityscape.
A video showcase that the torrential rains have flooded streets into rivers and vehicles all have been soaked in deep water. The filmer Ms. Wu captured a bus slowly navigating through the accumulated water, resembling a ship on the surface.
According to media reports, due to the sudden downpour of heavy rainfall, many places in the Haikou city area are seriously waterlogged, with water up to waist deep.
