Water pipe leak causes huge fountains spraying over homes in Japan
A water pipe leak caused a huge fountain to spray over buildings in Japan.
Video shows the 33ft tall geyser showering a road and oncoming cars in the Nagata Ward of Kobe City in the Hyogo Prefecture on May 22 afternoon.
Police said they received a report from a pedestrian that the water burst from a manhole at around 2:40 pm local time.
No people were injured and the Kobe City Waterworks Bureau temporarily cut the water supply at 3:30 pm.
Officials said a water pipe connected to a fire hydrant had burst, causing the vicinity to be slightly flooded as the road was temporarily blocked off.
Fifteen houses in the area were affected by the water outage. Local media reported that the water supply has been restored.
