Passengers use umbrellas as water pours into subway train in Bangkok
Passengers had to use umbrellas when water poured from the roof of a subway train during storms in Bangkok, Thailand.
Footage shows the worried commuters caught in the evening rush hour getting drenched by the deluge on May 21.
It happened at the same time as a tropical storm lashed the city causing flash floods.
However, the Mass Rapid Transit Authority, which operates the line, blamed a leaking air conditioning pipe for the torrents of water.
A spokesman said the leakage was due to an issue with the drain hoses which caused water to flow back into the train.
They said maintenance staff had fixed the issue.
