A mother protested over potholes by sitting in a dirty puddle.

The woman claimed her kids had fallen into the holes before so she was seeking attention from authorities to fix them in Telangana, India.

Footage shows the mum nestled in one of the holes that had been flooded by muddy water on the roadside. She held a placard with neighbours saying: ‘We want safe roads. Won't you?'

The resident said she wanted the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to do swift action for their safety.

She added: ‘We deal with this issue every day. This road has thirty potholes, according to my count. We simply want this resolved.'

The woman said she had spoken with the local administration who promised her funds had been set aside to address the issue.
