USA: Ethereum ETFs approved in the United States
New York, NY, USA - October 5, 2023
After a long wait and much speculation, it is now official: spot ETFs of ether (ETH), the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum network, have been approved by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The securities regulator decided to approve all eight proposed ETFs at the same time (as it had done in January when it approved bitcoin ETFs). This, so as not to favour any particular company at launch.
