As of Friday, the China-Laos Railway had handled over 200,000 cross-border passenger trips since its international passenger service was launched more than a year ago.
This is according to the Mohan checkpoint on China's border with Laos in southwest China's Yunnan.
A total of 868 international passenger trains were operated during the period.
As a landmark project of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, the 1,035-km China-Laos Railway connects Kunming in China, with the Laotian capital Vientiane.
