Officers with the California Highway Patrol and paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the intersection of 106th Street East and Pearblossom Highway in the city of Pearblossom, just east of Palmdale, for a reported traffic collision involving a semi truck and several vehicles. Upon arrival, paramedics located several people trapped inside vehicles and suffering from injuries due to the collision. At least one person was airlifted to a trauma center and at least three others were transported by ambulance to local area hospitals in unknown conditions. The cause of the collision is unclear and the California Highway Patrol were investigating at the time of this report. No statement was available from the California Highway Patrol or the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
