In a heartwarming act of compassion and quick thinking, Officer Stanfield of the local police department sprang into action on May 12 when he spotted a helpless kitten lying in the midst of NW US Hwy 441. Despite the perilous situation, with vehicles whizzing by mere feet away, Officer Stanfield wasted no time in halting to rescue the stranded feline from imminent danger.

The rescue operation received a timely assist from a Mi Apa Latin Cafe driver, who selflessly utilized their truck to help bring traffic to a standstill, facilitating the safe retrieval of the kitten from the busy roadway.

Following the heartening rescue, the furry little survivor has now found a forever home filled with love and care, courtesy of one of the police department's dedicated dispatchers.
