STORYLINE:

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with Lebanese Agriculture Minister Abbas Hajj Hassan in Cairo on Sunday.

The two officials discussed ways for the two countries to cooperate in the agricultural sector.

Madbouly stressed that his government is keen to facilitate the import of Lebanese goods, much as the Lebanese government strives to encourage the flow of imports from Egypt.
   
Madbouly also stressed Cairo's desire to support Lebanon amidst current regional and global economic challenges.

For his part, Hajj Hassan stressed the depth of historical relations between Egypt and Lebanon. He emphasized his country's deep appreciation for the Egyptian political leadership's constant eagerness to support Lebanon.
   
Hajj Hassan pointed out that there are many opportunities to cooperate and learn from each other in the field of agriculture, especially in fish farming.
