Kangaroo hops in front of police car in Texas, United States
A kangaroo hopped in front of a passing police car in Texas, United States.
Footage shows the marsupial darting out into the path to cross causing the vehicle to hit the brakes and stop and Lufkin on May 19.
It suddenly leapt into view but the agile animal avoided colliding with the car and disappeared from the area.
Further investigation revealed that the kangaroo belonged to a resident of the neighbourhood who admitted to inadvertently leaving the gate to the enclosure open.
With the owner's cooperation, authorities were able to safely guide the kangaroo back home. Lufkin Police Department confirmed that the kangaroo was unharmed and successfully reunited with its owner.
