On May 23, a Chinese man named Guo Mingwei held a golden wheat field wedding in his hometown Xiangcheng in Zhoukou, northern China.

The whole wedding arrangement and process were completed in a newly harvested wheat field. The unique wedding attracted attention, with many saying it was creative, romantic and in keeping with the season, but others thought the white banners were unlucky and others worried that smoking could cause a fire.

The inspiration for this wheat field wedding, Guo Mingwei introduced from his childhood memories, he grew up in the countryside, there is a special emotion for wheat fields.

As for the safety hazard of smoking causing fires, Guo said they were aware of it when planning their wedding. He said there was a well in the wheat field and that the cover had been opened ahead of time for the wedding as a precaution. And everyone pays more attention to this problem, plus the weather is relatively hot, basically no one smokes. Guo added that the wheat is harvested after it is ripe, and these past few days have been the time to harvest it.

Guo Mingwei said that the wedding day was indeed very hot and sunburnt. So they started the ceremony at 9, ahead of schedule, and finished it before 10. In addition, they only held a ceremony in the wheat field, and other customs and feasts were done in their own courtyards. As for everyone's opinion, he said that everyone's idea is different, and generally speaking, it is true that no one has held a wedding in the wheat field, and he will understand everyone's idea. But most importantly, he had a special wedding like no other.
