A baby orangutan playfully kissed a zoo-goer through the glass window in his enclosure.

Lucie Štěpničková, 37, was visiting Prague Zoo, in the Czech Republic, on May 27, 2024, when she spotted orangutan, Kawi, playing in his enclosure.

Lucie took a seat beside a glass window looking in and Kawi - who had been swinging on a rope - dashed over to her.

The three year old ape puckered up his lips before kissing the glass - and Lucie did the same.

Lucie, a saleswoman, from Prague, Czech Republic, said: "My mum and I went to the zoo together after a very long time and she was able to witness this amazing moment."

"I sat down on a rock and Kawi immediately ran up to say hello, play a little and give me a huge kiss. It was a wonderful moment for us."

"After that I went to the inner part of the pavilion to look at the new cub and his mother."

"I am all the more happy that I finally managed to catch a glimpse of him."

During Lucie's visit she also managed to see Kawi's sister, Diri, on an island in the enclosure with her newborn son.
