The soldiers of the Golani Brigade have been in a defensive operation on the northern border for about four months, during which they have been stationed on the first line of defense, carrying out ambushes and patrols on the fence and striking Hezbollah terrorists on the border.

In recent weeks, the battalions of the Golani Brigade combat team participated in exercises that improved the Brigade’s readiness for a northern combat scenario.

The soldiers of the brigade trained on taking over targets along terrain routes simulating Lebanon, and brought into the exercise their lessons and operational experience from operating in the Gaza Strip.

The scenarios, among other things, tested the force's ability to deal with the enemy's anti-tank missiles, handle explosives and expose them while operating, fire quickly and thwart terrorists with the help of accurate intelligence. In addition, they practiced evacuating wounded in complex conditions.

The exercises were conducted simultaneously with ongoing defense operations in response to real-time events in the north.
