A bus plunged from a ravine killing at least 28 passengers and injuring 20 others in Pakistan today.

The coach was travelling through the Washuk district of Balochistan when a tyre bust causing the vehicle to lose control.

After the fatal crash, the injured were taken to the Basima Civil Hospital by the residents, who rescuers assisted.

Officials said the bus was travelling from Gwadar to Quetta when the crash happened.

They said that more deaths are anticipated because some of the injuries were serious.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and gave the go-ahead for officials to give the injured patients all available medical care

'We stand with the bereaved families in this difficult time,' Sharif said.
