Gaza Strip - May 28, 2024

In recent weeks, the Carmeli Brigade (2) has been engaged in combat operations in the Gaza Strip under the leadership of Brigade 99. Operating in the border area, the brigade participated in a mission in the Zaytun neighborhood, where forces neutralized close to a hundred terrorists and destroyed hundreds of terror targets.

Over the past week, brigade fighters have been active in the Juhar a-Dik area, conducting thorough scans while securing the territory. During these operations, forces uncovered hideouts, terror infrastructure, and terrorists' hideouts. These areas were swiftly neutralized by the forces.

Additionally, troops discovered in the southern Zaytun neighborhood tunnels used by dozens of operatives to manufacture Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and rockets for Hamas. The manufacturing site was destroyed by brigade forces in collaboration with Yahalom forces and engineering units.
