Rider flees as motorcycle bursts into flames on roadside
A rider fled as his motorcycle burst into flames on a roadside in the Philippines.
The motorist was trying to start the engine of the two-wheeler but sparked flames instead in Lanao del Sur province on May 24.
CCTV footage shows the local quickly climbing down as his vehicle was engulfed in fire. He dragged the scooter away from the others and left as the fire spread fast.
Onlooker Francis Garcia said: ‘It happened during market day. The owner didn't notice gas leaking from under the scooter.
‘When he turned the ignition, there was a spark and the motorcycle caught on fire.'
No one was hurt including the motorcycle but the owner said the scooter was beyond repair.
